In 2019, Brown’s Bay Packing invested $1.5 million into a leading-edge wastewater treatment system, built to meet newly strengthened environmental standards and protect the surrounding marine environment. Through advanced treatment, disinfection, and continuous monitoring, the system ensures discharged water has no measurable impact on the ecosystem.
Carbon Footprint
Low Impact. High-Quality Protein.
Farmed salmon delivers one of the lowest carbon footprints among major protein sources, requiring significantly less feed and fresh water while producing just a fraction of the emissions compared to land-based livestock. This efficiency makes salmon one of the most environmentally responsible choices for high-quality protein.
